Cobra Smash Badminton Club

Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 October 2026

These terms apply to the Cobra Smash Badminton Club website at cobrasmash.org.uk. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

1. What this site is

This site exists to tell people about Cobra Smash Badminton Club: who we are, when and where we play, how to join, and how the teams are getting on. It is informational. There is nothing to buy here and no account to create. To ask about a guest session you send us an email, which the site helps you write; what happens to the details you put in it is covered by our Privacy Policy.

2. Session information may change

Session dates, times, court numbers and venues are published in good faith, but courts get moved and bookings change at short notice. Always check with the club before travelling to a session, particularly if you are not yet a member.

3. Content and ownership

The club's content on this site, including photographs, graphics, match reports, member names and testimonials, the club's written text, and the Cobra Smash name, logo and branding, belongs to Cobra Smash Badminton Club and its members. All rights are reserved. You may not copy, reuse, modify or republish it without our written permission.

The website's underlying source code is a separate matter and is openly licensed for reuse with visible credit. The full terms are in the LICENSE file in the project's public repository. Reusing the code does not give you any right to the club's content or branding.

4. Using the site

Please use the site lawfully and sensibly. Do not attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to it, or use automated tools to scrape member photographs or personal information from it.

5. Links to other sites

We link to other organisations, including Badminton England, the MKDBA and our own social media pages. We are not responsible for the content of those sites or for how they handle your information.

6. No warranty

The site is provided as it is. We take care to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be up to date, uninterrupted or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, the club is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from relying on information published here.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

7. Club membership is separate

These terms cover the website only. Membership of the club, covering subscriptions, session etiquette, team selection, and the rules of Badminton England and the MKDBA, is a separate matter, agreed with members directly.

8. Privacy

How we handle personal information, and how to have yours deleted, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
